Pericardial effusion

The pericardium is the collective name for the layers of tissue surrounding the heart. A pericardial effusion refers to an abnormal amount of fluid between the heart muscle and the pericardium. This increase in fluid leads to an increase in the pressure on the beating heart.*Prenuvo scans are not designed to evaluate the heart, however some cardiovascular condition can be detected.

Disclaimer: The condition listed on this page is an example of findings that may be identified through Prenuvo's MRI screenings.
