If you have a family history of someone who died from cancer, it is understandable that you would be anxious or worried that the same fate might befall you.
We are learning more and more every year about the role that genetics can play in cancer. Several genetic mutations are known to caused a marked increase in cancer occurrence. For example, a mutation in the BRCA gene can lead to a 7-fold increase in the likelihood that a woman will get breast cancer. Another genetic condition known as Lynch syndrome can significantly raise the risk of many common cancers such as colon cancer or liver cancer. Other rarer mutations can cause brain cancers to run in families.
Altogether genetics are believed to play the primary role in around 15% of cancers. But sometimes people in the same family get cancer, not because they share the same genes, but because they share behaviors that raise their risk. Behaviors that increase risk of cancer include smoking, unhealthy eating habits, and lack of exercise. Sometimes, even if we don’t directly inherit a condition from our parents, it can still be hard to escape it!
At Prenuvo, we see a lot of patients who want to escape their family history of cancer. No one can promise that you won’t get cancer during your lifetime - in fact, statistically one in every two people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetimes. But we have spent the last ten years perfecting an MRI scan that is sensitive enough to accurately detect 9 out of the top 10 cancers at a very early stage, when treatment is least expensive and most effective.
Backed up by hundreds of clinical studies showing its effectiveness, our scan is non-radiating and safe. It can be taken as frequently as required to ensure peace of mind for you and your family.
Escape your family history today, come join us as Prenuvo!
